Your Mission
As a DevOps Engineer at SysEleven, you are responsible for the smooth operation and automation of our as-a-Service products, such as Database as a Service. You implement Infrastructure as Code and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure scalable and secure infrastructures. Your work drives innovation in our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings and enhances team collaboration. Through automation and Kubernetes orchestration, you reduce operational effort and deliver reliable services that support our customers’ success. You contribute to a culture of continuous learning and problem-solving to tackle complex challenges and shape the future of our services.

Your responsibilities:
- Design and maintenance of scalable infrastructures using IaC tools (Terraform) in cloud or on-premise environments
- Creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment strategies (e.g., Blue-Green, Canary)
- Development of automation scripts and internal tools in Go, Python, or Bash to optimize DevOps processes
- Management of container-based applications with Docker and Kubernetes, including Helm charts and network configurations
- Implementation of observability and automation of security vulnerability scans
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, as well as defining and implementing best practices for DevOps processes
What you have to bring on board:
- Experience with Linux operating systems and Kubernetes, as well as working with GitOps tools
- Knowledge of at least one programming language (preferably Go, alternatively Python or Rust)
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu
- Familiarity with CI systems, especially GitLab CI
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, as well as proficiency in German and/or English at a B2 level
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana stack, as well as OS image building (e.g., VMs, bare metal, or container images)
What to expect at SysEleven:
Our team is responsible for customer-facing services such as Database as a Service and Observability as a Service. These are closely integrated into our cloud and Kubernetes products. Your tasks include the daily operation and maintenance of these services, as well as further development and maintenance work. You will have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas for new SaaS products as we continue to expand our portfolio. As a team member, you will work with Kubernetes daily and actively contribute to the success of our customers. We maintain a lively exchange within and between teams, helping each other and sharing ideas—whether in our daily operations, at our internal “Show & Tell” events, or at external conferences.
